This is a new role, which is intended to support the Corporate Manager and provide day-today and strategic support to the team.
The post holder will lead two Senior Business Partners and their teams in undertaking a full range of financial activities including the preparation of annual revenue and capital budgets, financial monitoring and advice including project and business case support, completion of the annual statement of accounts.
This role will be responsible for leading the team to deliver the Councils treasury, insurance and VAT functions as well as the full range of agreed reports to committee and senior leadership team within the required timeframes.
The postholder will work closely with the Corporate Manager in providing organisational leadership for the development and maintenance of the strategies and systems that demonstrate strong financial stewardship and accountability across the Councils.
