The website is run by Suffolk Advertising who have over twenty five years' experience as Suffolk County Council's advertising agency and over twenty years' experience working with other local authorities, colleges, schools and charities.

Package Costs

Suffolk Jobs Direct ratecard

£75 - Standard Package with up to 5 attachments

£75 per vacancy for a Standard Package listing. This entry level listing includes coverage across appropriate social channels (Facebook and Twitter) and via email alerts. It also includes the option to upload up to 5 attachments* (e.g. job description, application form) for a maximum of 28 days.

£200 - Enhanced Package

Our Enhanced Package listing is ideal for harder to fill roles where a targeted social media approach can drive increased applications. It includes everything from the Standard Package but we'll also boost it to a wider audience on our social media channels and refresh your job listing mid-post to  ensure your role remains near the top of the search results.

£325 - Premium Package

Our Premium Package is perfectly suited for campains where you need the greatest exposure for your vacancy. As well as everything from the Standard and Enhanced Packages it includes a fully customised social media campaign, extended listing for up to 60 days and a priority upload guaranteed by close of business the next day to maximise the number of applicants for your role. This package also includes a Featured Job or Job of the Week on the homepage of the website for maximum impact (over 62,000 homepage visits per month).

* There is a £10 surcharge for each attachment when more than 5 are requested. The contents of compressed files are counted as individual attachments.

Extra Options

Additional £25 - NQT Listing 

Additional £25 per vacancy to any of the above packages to add your job to our NQT portal which will show all our NQT jobs on one website. Targeted at trainee teachers looking for their first teaching job and marketed to ITT providers, universities and colleges, this service is designed to make it easier for NQTs to find suitable roles in Suffolk. 

Please note: schools signed up to the Teacher Recruitment Service with Schools' Choice can purchase an NQT listing for the price of a £75 Standard Package listing.

£200 - Run of Site

Non-vacancy specific, (for example, new schemes or courses or general advertising) £200 per button. Appears with custom designed graphic on all pages throughout the main site with a link back to your own website. For a maximum of 4 weeks. 

Press and other website advertising

If you advertise through Suffolk Advertising in the press and the cost is more than £150, your SJD Standard Package listing is free providing the advert copy is exactly the same for both the press advert and website advert. If you use different copy in the press to that used on our website, the charge for the SJD Package listing applies. For press adverts costing less than £150, the SJD Package listing charge applies. For any other website adverts booked through us, and not in the press over a value of £150, the SJD Package listing applies. We charge £25 per vacancy to upload jobs onto other websites (in addition to the website charge, less any applicable discount).

Advertising more than one job in a single listing

Costs are per job advertised – one job is a single listing. We strongly recommend not grouping more than one job in one advert unless they are identical. You will get a better response placing individual adverts, but you can state similar jobs are available. We are happy to advise and agree with you the best way to advertise these jobs. However, as an example, if you do group 3 non-identical adverts together (with our agreement) the cost will be SJD Package listing price x 3, for example totalling £225 for a Standard Package listing.

Advert Cancellation

We aim to be as fair as possible with any advert cancellation. Adverts booked on your behalf in the press or other websites cannot usually be cancelled once booked or if past the booking deadline. Adverts for SJD will be charged for if you have received a preview of your advert, or any time after the advert has been made live. If you cancel before you have received a SJD preview, you will not be charged.
