SAICP is a paid for membership Association representing Private, Independent and Voluntary providers of social care in Suffolk. The Association is a not-for-profit limited company formed in 2006, since when membership has steadily grown, and an experienced Business Development Officer is now sought to support the Chair, Board and Steering Group. The role will focus on growing membership of the Association at a critical time for the sector - post Covid 19.
In addition to the acknowledged existing challenges to the sector of under-funding, issues in recruitment and retention of staff to support an increasingly aged population, the social care sector also faces a challenging and changing future and it is the role of the Association to offer support, advice and guidance to providers of care to the elderly and vulnerable members of the county.
This role will suit someone who has an entrepreneurial approach to business development and an ability to recognise opportunities. The Association is funded by grants and income generated from commercial partners as well as the membership subscription paid by the members.
Experience or knowledge of the health and social care sector is essential for this position.
As there will be a requirement to attend in person some meetings and events it is anticipated that you will live within a 10 mile radius of Ipswich, Suffolk.
