  • 25 hpw, 42 weeks per year.
  • Required from June 2021.
  • Monday – Friday, 5 hours per day (flexible).

SENDAT is a Multi Academy Trust focusing provision for a range of complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Chalk Hill Academy (part of SENDAT) is a short-term school for 30 boys aged 8-14 who are excluded or at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream schools. Up to 12 of these boys are boarders (Monday to Friday) during term time.

We now seek a Caretaker/Handyperson to join our dedicated and close-knit team of staff who work together to help the students change their behaviour and re-engage with learning, supporting them to move on to the school that is right for them.

Our Caretakers play a key role in ensuring that the physical environment a place where our students feel safe, comfortable and ready to learn.   

You will have a good basic knowledge of buildings maintenance together with patience, resilience and a genuine wish to make a difference to the lives of our most vulnerable, and sometimes challenging children.
