• £23,080 pro rata (£18,713 - £19,961 pa)

• Fixed term for six months, initially.

Post 1: 30 - 32 hpw, including evening and occasional weekend working.

Post 2: 18.5 hpw.

Suffolk Family Carers is a respected charity that is passionate about creating solutions to meet the needs of family carers of all ages. We provide a range of services to support adult, young adult and young carers across Suffolk.

We support young adult carers aged 14-25, and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and driven Young Adult Carer Adviser who can enable young adult carers and their families to overcome some of the challenges they face in a creative and solution focused way.

The role will predominantly be working with young people aged 14-25 in the West Suffolk locality.

We are seeking a proactive individual who has the skills and experience of engaging with Young Adults on a 1:1 and group basis. You will be required to travel to locations across Suffolk and be available for daytime, evening and occasional weekend or residential working.

You will also plan and facilitate respite activities across the county and support delivery of personal development workshops/programmes. You will need to be enthusiastic and motivated about enabling young people to develop their self-confidence and future aspirations, working innovatively to ensure the support is engaging, age appropriate and co-produced wherever possible.  In addition, excellent relationship building skills are required to develop working relationships with education providers and community partners to raise awareness of the needs of young adult carers. You will support colleges in implementing creative, sustainable best practise support for their young adult carers
