East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.
Your role will be to provide Project Office support to the Project and Programme Managers delivering the ICT Programme and corporate-wide Strategic Plan. You will also be responsible for providing support within the ICT service including budget monitoring, purchasing and volume licensing arrangements. This is a varied role - you will be monitoring project schedules, organising programme meetings and escalating issues through to administering purchasing processes and monitoring spend.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised and pays attention to detail, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be working co-operatively with colleagues at all levels. Excellent IT skills, including advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office, is essential. It would be ideal if you have experience in supporting high-profile projects, however this is not essential, most importantly, being able to demonstrate fantastic organisational skills and accuracy is key.
In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development. We want you to stay with us for the long-term, so we will give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation. There is also a superb benefits package including flexible working options and purpose-built, brand-new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.
Please read the job description and person specification before applying.
