Based at any of our offices in either Melton, Lowestoft, Thetford or March.

The Anglia Revenues Partnership is a partnership between Breckland Council, Forest Heath District Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council, St Edmundsbury Borough Council, Fenland District Council, Suffolk Coastal District Council and Waveney District Council. The partnership is responsible for the delivery of Revenues and Benefits services for all of the Authorities.

We are seeking well-organised, self-motivated and flexible candidates to be part of our excellent Revenues team. You will be based at our offices in either Melton or Lowestoft, however you may be required to work at other sites within the partnership area.  The roles will suit the person who has a track record of successfully rising to the challenge, and delivering results.

As a Revenues Officer in the billing team, your main duties involve updating our database to compile and maintain records regarding the ownership of properties, issuing bills, determining applications for discounts, exemptions,  disabled reductions and Council Tax Reduction Scheme.  You will also be required to respond to customer enquires in person, by email, telephone or letter and provide an excellent and polite service at all times.

The successful candidates will require a good general education with GCSE passes in Maths and English.  Ideally you will have some experience of working in a busy office environment.  The ability to work under pressure and contribute fully to the team’s achievement of performance targets are essential requirements.   You should also have proven IT skills and you must be willing to use new information technology. The ability to work under pressure is an essential requirement.  Full training will be provided for the successful candidates.

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development.  We want you to stay with us for the long-term, so we’ll give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation.  There’s also superb benefits package including flexible working options and purpose built brand new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, pension scheme and free car parking.

On 1 April 2019, we will become East Suffolk Council – a new ‘super district’ authority, replacing Suffolk Coastal and Waveney. It will be the largest district council in the country, providing high quality services to a quarter of a million people across east Suffolk. Our councils are an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to those who need them most.

If you have the necessary drive and commitment and can bring an enthusiastic approach to the role then we would like to hear from you.
