East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Programme Manager to manage the development and implementation of the North Lowestoft Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) programme. This position, funded by Historic England, will be primarily based at our Riverside offices in Lowestoft.
The HAZ Delivery Plan aims to kick-start heritage-led regeneration and stimulate sustainable economic growth in Lowestoft by bringing projects to life such as bringing neglected buildings back into use as housing or retail spaces.
You must be passionate about heritage and willing to champion its value to a wide range of audiences. You will work with stakeholders, partners and colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of the projects within the programme, ensuring they are delivered within the agreed scope, timescales, budget and agreed success criteria.
You will have proven programme and project management experience as well as being educated to degree level or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills will be essential, as well as the ability to effectively manage and motivate others.
In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development and we will give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation. There is also a superb benefits package including flexible working options and purpose-built, brand new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.
