East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.

Are you an enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn? If so, we would like to hear from you.

Be part of our successful Council Tax Recovery team to collect outstanding council tax, negotiate with debtors, maintain client records, apply appropriate recovery actions and liaise with other revenues teams.

You will monitor client accounts to check payments received and accurately update computer systems and records. You will thrive working in a fast-paced partnership environment, liaising and communicating with the public, other departments, Citizens Advice and Enforcement Agents.

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is a team player but can also work on their own initiative. You will also have great communication skills, both written and verbal and above all have plenty of enthusiasm!

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development. We want you to stay with us for the long-term, so we’ll give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation. There’s also a superb benefits package including flexible working options and purpose-built, brand-new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.
