Fixed term for 2 years.

On 1 April 2019, we will become East Suffolk Council – a new ‘super district’ authority, replacing Suffolk Coastal and Waveney. We will be the largest district council in the country, providing high-quality services to a quarter of a million people across east Suffolk. Our councils are an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to those who need them most.

We have two exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and pro-active Regeneration Support Officers to join our Regeneration Team. Although these positions are primarily based in Lowestoft, you will be expected to work across East Suffolk in support of East Suffolk Regeneration Programme.

The councils are currently developing and delivering a large number of transformational regeneration and development projects across East Suffolk; making this a great time to join a growing team, leading on the delivery of this programme. You will be supporting the Programme Manager, Project Managers and Programme Officer in ensuring the professional and timely delivery of projects within the East Suffolk Regeneration Programme.

We are seeking people who have:

  • a proven track record in supporting project delivery, working across multiple projects
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are confident at building relationships with key delivery stakeholders both within and outside the council’s.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a great career in economic regeneration by helping to shape the future direction of one of the region’s economic powerhouses. With world leading companies in ports and logistics, offshore and nuclear energy, ICT alongside a high value and rapidly growing tourism sector, the economic growth opportunities within East Suffolk are substantial and varied.

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development and we will give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation. There is also a superb benefits package including flexible working options and purpose built brand new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.

Please read the job description and person specification before applying for this job.
