Are you a dynamic and experienced Coastal Engineering Manager looking to lead the Coastal Engineering Team who are working on some of the most innovative coastal projects in Britain?

You will need to be a creative, enthusiastic and a highly motivated engineering professional with the ability and desire to inspire, guide, develop and manage our engineering team.

You will be an exceptional communicator who is able to work with our board, senior officer group, key stakeholders and the communities we serve.

Your skill and professionalism will be vital to help the development of our partnership and the delivery of an integrated and adaptive approach to coastal management.

You will be working for and will help shape the future Coastal Partnership East. As a partnership of four local authorities, Great Yarmouth Borough, North Norfolk District Council, Suffolk Coastal District Council and Waveney District Council, we deliver a resilient and comprehensive coastal management service.

Whilst the partnership may only be a year old, it is already recognised as a great example of how Maritime Local Authorities should manage their coastline. Recognised as an innovator in partnership working, we are evolving rapidly and we need an exceptional individual to complete the management team.

You will have significant experience of delivering major projects with a range of civil engineering disciplines including construction, safety management and an excellent knowledge of CDM 2015 requirements. You will have a sound understanding of coast defence projects and a good grasp of funding requirements for coastal projects.

Your in-tray will already have the UK's first sandscaping project, a £30m+ flood defence scheme, a potential new nuclear power station plus other great projects. There is a great team already here but can you lead them into the future?

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development. We want you to stay with us for the long term, so we will give you all the support we can to build a great career with our partnership organisations. In choosing where to live, you will need to be within easy reach of any one of our four offices: Cromer, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Melton (Woodbridge) but with so many great locations with fine schools, you find a quality of life that will be hard to beat.

If this is you, then we would like to hear how you can contribute to this development now and for an exciting future.

We offer employees a friendly working environment, flexible working hours, a career average pension scheme and take pride in achieving Investors in People Gold standard.
