Based at Suffolk Coastal District Council’s new offices in Melton (near Woodbridge).
Do you need practical environmental health experience to complete your professional qualifications?
We are looking for someone who is currently enrolled on, or has completed, a CIEH-accredited environmental health degree and is looking for a paid 12-month placement starting in August 2018 (a shorter contract could be arranged for the right candidate).
You will undertake a structured training placement to ensure that you can successfully complete your PPP. After initial training, and under supervision, you will be responsible for the collection and submission of food and shellfish samples and undertake a variety of tasks that will prepare you for your career in Environmental Health.
The placement will be hosted by Suffolk Coastal District Council and Waveney District Councils, an organisation leading the way when it comes to working in partnership and committed to improving the quality of life for everyone living in, working in, and visiting east Suffolk.
So, what can we offer you? To name just a few things, there is a fantastic benefits package including flexible working options, an allowance towards the costs of running a car and purpose built brand new office accommodation, as well as a generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme, high street discounts and free car parking.
With the University of Suffolk being 10 miles away in Ipswich, there is also plenty of affordable accommodation and student focussed activities in the local area.
