Responsible to the Deputy Chief Finance Officer, we are looking for an exceptional professional to be responsible for the operational management of the Financial Planning team and ensure the team delivers the Medium Term Financial Strategy.
Your duties will also involve effectively managing the delivery, preparation and implementation of the Council’s revenue budgets, production of the annual budget and setting of the Council Tax and reporting of the year-end financial outturn position.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised and pays attention to detail, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will work closely with operational and back office services within the Council to set and manage budgets to enable efficient services are delivered.
You will be a CCAB qualified finance professional seeking a role in a progressive, forward thinking organisation which offers the opportunity to demonstrate key achievements to date, further develop your skills and lead on the delivery of a successful Finance function. It is essential that you have the knowledge and experience of accounting principles, budgetary control, and local taxation.
