You will participate in a rotational shift pattern covering 6.30am - 10pm weekdays and an on call rota at the weekends.

Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority is at the frontline of food safety, animal and public health control, not only for the UK, but also for the European Union.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two experienced ICT Systems Administrators to join the ICT Team at Port Health.

Your responsibilities will involve supporting our users and customers on all business applications, as well as dealing with routine maintenance tasks, monitoring and support for Port Health’s entire infrastructure.

You will also be involved in creating and maintaining system documentation for supporting and managing the environment, as well as creating advice documentation for end users. In addition, you will be required to provide technical system support for database administration and development for all in house developed applications.

Ideally you will have formal ICT qualifications or training and have a passion for all things IT. You must possess high levels of accuracy and attention, have a focus on quality and always be prepared to assist the dedicated team of professionals with their ICT requirements.

You will also need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work well independently and as part of a team and have experience of working in a similar role in a professional environment. In depth knowledge and experience of Java Script, C# and visual studio is also desirable.

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development and we will give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation. There is also a superb benefits package including purpose built brand new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.

You will be given considerable on the job training within a dynamic team operating in an inclusive environment.

* plus 14% shift allowance.

If you are enthusiastic, keen to learn, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, we would like to hear from you.
