This role is part of a shift towards a more robust commercial approach where our partnerships will drive our financial sustainability.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be the lead officer responsible for the performance, business growth and efficiency of the council’s current facilities contracts to include, facilities management (FM), refuse collection and grounds maintenance across the East Suffolk partnership.
Not only leading on improved performance through areas of finance, operational performance and customer experience, you will also identify opportunities for service growth, development and income generation / streams. You will be responsible for the strategic development, activity participation levels and commercial success of the contracts.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic leader who can build relationships and drive business growth and performance.
In order to do this you must have substantial experience of commercial contract management, negotiating commercially sensitive contracts and experience of largescale projects and/or programme management. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), be commercially astute and be a strategic thinker.
Ideally, you will have experience of growing income through service redesign, experience in FM, waste of other service industries, have an understanding of local authority structures and hold a project management qualification (or equivalent).
