Suffolk Sport, the County Sports Partnership for Suffolk, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Development Officer to work with the Suffolk Badminton Partnership with the aim of increasing participation in badminton across the county of Suffolk.

Your role will be to support the development of the Suffolk Strategic Badminton Partnership development plan, as well as its delivery and evaluation. You will also be expected to represent the Suffolk Badminton Partnership at meetings and events, and to promote local and national Badminton events using a wide range of marketing platforms, including social media.

You will need an awareness of sports development issues, particularly within badminton, as well as an understanding of the role physical activity can play on improving health and wellbeing. Excellent communication and IT skills will be essential to this role, as well as good planning, organisation, team work and administrative skills.

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development. There is also a superb benefits package including flexible working options and purpose built, brand new office accommodation, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking. Our councils are an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives.
