The Licensing Team currently has a vacancy for a Licensing Enforcement Officer to join them on a part time basis.

As part of the Licensing team, you will provide assistance with a range of licensing services to ensure compliance with the appropriate legislation and council approved standards. These licensing services will include taxi and private hire, gambling and licensed premises, festivals and outdoor events.

You will be responsible for carrying out enforcement duties on behalf of the team including dealing with complaints, undertaking compliance inspections and surveillance of licensed premises and taxi ranks, and attending events and festivals. You will also be required to conduct interviews (including interviews under caution), prepare cases for prosecution or formal caution and give evidence at Licensing committees or court when required. This work will include evening and weekend hours.

You will be a team player with excellent communication, time management and customer service skills. You must also be well organised and methodical, with good attention to detail. A full UK driving licence will be essential, as well as being prepared to carry out lone working.
