Ipswich Borough Council operates a range of services for residents, organisations and visitors to Ipswich, from cultural and community activities to education and environmental services, and everyday facilities like car parking and refuse collections.

Our organisation is constantly growing and developing to meet the needs of Ipswich and its residents. To help tackle and reduce the harm caused by Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), the Community Support Team invites you to join our team as a Housing ASB Officer.

This role will manage complex ASB cases relating to Council Tenancy's which will include taking prompt and effective action to investigate all allegations of reported cases of ASB, whilst collaboratively working and maintaining good working relationships with local partner agencies.

Main Duties: the job requires ASB Officers to implement and comply with all policies, procedures, regulations and legislation for tackling anti-social behaviour. Use all available methods within ASB case management to interview victims, witnesses and alleged perpetrators to ensure cases are sensitively and confidentially managed.

It is essential for ASB Officers to maintain a professional relationship with national and local key agencies such as the Police, Probation and health services and identify, report and process concerns of adult and child safeguarding in line with the Council's procedures.

About You: The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge and experience of tackling Anti-social behaviour within the community and knowledge of working in the social housing sector. Proven experience of building strong working relationships with customers, colleagues, external partners and provide joined up multi agency responses to achieve successful outcomes.

You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to present information to a high degree of accuracy using ASB case management through all stages of the process including the legal process, confidence to manage difficult situations together with excellent problem-solving skills. You will also have knowledge and experience to support and safeguard both the subjects and perpetrators of ASB and crime.

Essential: A-Level standard or equivalent and 3 years' experience of working in a Tenancy Management environment or ASB role in social housing
Desirable: Housing related qualification or equivalent. Evidence of continuous professional development.
