£26,511 - £28,672 pa
Fixed term for 1 year, covering the maternity leave of the current postholder.
A varied and challenging role supporting the Shared Revenues Partnership (SRP) in respect of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Council Tax and Business Rates for Ipswich Borough Council, Mid Suffolk and Babergh District Councils.
Experience or detailed knowledge of either Revenues and Benefits, or on-line forms / web based products is essential for this post and whilst technical experience would be an advantage, all necessary training will be given.
Day to day:
Reporting to the Business Support Manager you will be providing IT system and administrative support to Revenues & Benefits and their partners. This includes compiling statistical information, processing Freedom of Information requests, providing system support of Northgate software and financial reconciliation within the Shared Revenues Partnership.
The work also involves testing and implementing new and enhanced system functionality, such as SMS Messaging, Landlord Portal and the Citizens Access MyAccount, which requires a flexible approach to learning and working.
You should be an effective team player with good communication skills as well as having previous experience of working under pressure to meet deadlines. Your lateral thinking, enquiring mind and ability to remain calm under pressure will benefit this post as will your positive attitude to learning on the job.
