East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.
A unique opportunity has arisen for an Energy Projects Lead Lawyer to join our Legal Team based in either Melton or Lowestoft.
Your role will be to lead and provide accurate up to date legal advice on planning matters relating to energy infrastructure projects in the East Suffolk Council area.
You will be a qualified solicitor/barrister/legal executive with at least 5 years experience working at a senior level on local authority planning matters and energy projects such as nuclear power stations and off shore wind farms. You will also be experienced in building and maintaining effective relationships at all levels of the organisation and have an excellent track record of providing proactive, expert, timely and authoritative legal advice.
In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development. We want you to stay with us for the long-term, so we’ll give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation.
