We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified and highly skilled professional who will provide strategic leadership within our Specialist Education Services.

You will:

  • be responsible for leading the development and effective delivery of our specialist education and support services within the Inclusion Service
  • provide strategic leadership of the Sensory and Communication teams and the Specialist Learning Support Assistant Service
  • ensure the effective development and high-quality delivery of services; to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND and their families in Suffolk.

In Suffolk, we are building an Inclusion Service that can deliver services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities that are among the best and most innovative in England. Our new management team is passionate about transforming the experiences of Suffolk children, young people and their families.

We are working closely with our family representatives and our partners in health and social care and making positive progress against the recommendations following our Ofsted inspection. This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role you will need to operate across a wide and rural area, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.
