An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior strategic manager to join the Localities and Partnerships team. This is a challenging and rewarding role for a strong motivated leader who has demonstrable capability to innovate and maximise opportunities. As a senior leader, you will evidence outstanding drive, proven leadership of successful teams and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who can evidence their success of championing and delivering co-production and community engagement with a wide range of stakeholders at a strategic level. There will be frequent requirements to brief elected members within Suffolk County Council and to collaborate and influence across the Suffolk system.

You will be working within the Public Health directorate of Suffolk County Council supporting the Head of Localities and Partnerships. The Localities and Partnerships team have a strong track record of success working on equalities and inclusion in order to ensure our communities are understood and heard. This role will continue to develop and build upon the excellent work that has already been established within Suffolk. This role will also be expected to lead on the continuation and development of the Suffolk Health and Wellbeing Board.

Due to the diverse nature of work undertaken by the Localities and Partnerships team, you will need to be positive about a fast-changing set of priorities and flexible in your approach.

This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role you will need to operate across a wide and rural area, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, we have strict limitations on staff working in our offices and most of us are being asked to work from home.  If you wish to discuss how that might impact your working arrangements, please contact the recruiting manager listed at the bottom of this advert.

For an informal discussion please contact Christine Geeson on Christine.geeson@suffolk.gov.uk

Please read the Job and Person Profile before applying for this job.
