You will hold a key role within a multidisciplinary team comprising of:

  • Team Manager
  • Senior Practitioners
  • Senior Social Workers
  • Senior Occupational Therapists
  • Social Workers
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Independence Wellbeing Practitioners.

You will carry out high-quality assessments of physical, psychological and environmental needs within the statutory obligations of the directorate. You will work with adults with complex needs and their carers, to assist them with their plan of support and to maximise their potential.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong mix of knowledge and skills and a level of resilience.

Adult service is challenging, but will continue to be fascinating and very rewarding.

You will need a relevant Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration.

  • internal rotation between various teams within the council
  • rotation with health
  • simple assessment clinics and different ways of seeing customers
  • our work with other providers to share best ways of working.

Career path

  • Newly Qualified OT (Grade 5): £26,999
  • OT (Grade 5): £28,785 - £31,371
  • Senior OT (Grade 6): £32,029 - £34,585.
  • moving onto Team Manager level, Professional Advisor and Practice Governance roles.
