The Corporate Policy Team is looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual with knowledge and experience of policy development, consultation, research and analysis, who will support the council to deliver a variety of challenging projects.

The role involves:

  • supporting the development and co-ordination of strategies, policies and projects which deliver the councils' priorities
  • working collaboratively across the council and providing support to Policy Business Partners, Leadership Team, Service Managers and Councillors in the delivery of effective and transformational services
  • providing an effective business support service including a research function and driving the corporate approach to equality, diversity and consultation.

You will be a team player and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. You will have a strong academic record, plus experience of analysis, options appraisal, problem solving and decision making. You will need to be organised, self-motivated, creative and able to work independently. As a member of the Corporate Policy Team, you will need a strong interest in current affairs. You will also have responsibility for aspects of policy development and presentation.
