Service Development and Contracts, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities and Autism Service (MHLDA), Adult and Community Services (ACS).
In this Head of Service Development and Contracting role, you will play a key role in the Learning Disability and Autism transformation programme and ensure that we provide the highest quality support services for people in Suffolk.
You will be responsible for leading and managing the service development and contract management team, and delivery of a wide range of contracts for services for people with a learning disability and / or autism including supported housing, residential care and community provision. You will work in partnership with locality-based social work teams and lead on specific pieces of work / projects to shape the way we commission services in the future.
One key project you will help to drive forward is our Housing Transformation, through which we will be developing new models of housing and pathways for our Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health customers. Therefore, knowledge and experience of commissioning housing and support and developing services for these customer groups would be desirable.
The varied nature of the role means there is lots of opportunity for you to use your individual skills and experience and build your professional network as well as personal learning and development. Whilst specifically focussing on services for people with Mental Health issues, Learning disabilities and /or Autism you will also be part of the wider ACS service development and contracts management group and collaborate on pieces of work to support the provision of care to a wider customer group.
The team have a county wide remit and all roles include a mixture of service development, contract management, and close partnership working with Social work teams and service providers.
We also have a newly appointed Provider Workforce Development Manager in our team.
