Reporting to the Head of Operations you will be responsible for driving forward the procurement function with the key objective of growing and developing new business. Through diversification and expansion you will work towards generating a net income for investment in further opportunities and to help offset costs of other activities.
You will ensure that all procurement is undertaken in accordance with professional and legal standards and probity, have influence over £24 million of expenditure per annum and ensure the achievement of best value for money on all procured goods, works and services.
You must be a fully qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply with appropriate post qualification experience, demonstrable first hand knowledge of public sector procurement processes and previous experience of forging successful partnerships with a wide range of internal and external bodies.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential requirements for this role as is the ability to manage and co-ordinate work programmes and staff.
