Up to 27.5 hpw, Monday - Friday, 8.40am - 3.10pm, term time.
Fixed term until 31 August 2020, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Due to changing needs across the school, we require an experienced teaching assistant. As a large primary school, we can offer this position in one of a number of year groups, and welcome applications from candidates with experience in KS1 and/or KS2.
- have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent and experience of working with children in a primary school setting
- be flexible and adaptable, able to support learning in the classroom, in a group situation or with an individual pupil across the school
- work under the direction of our class teachers and SENDCo to support children's learning.
As well as classroom support, our teaching assistants deliver some of our intervention and nurture programmes across the school, and we welcome applications from experienced classroom TAs who would like to extend and develop their expertise in these areas.
Whitehouse Community Primary School is a supportive school with an increasing roll, currently 593 pupils including a 52-place nursery.
