Are you passionate about the development of children?

Our school is a thriving environment which supports pupils from a range of backgrounds, and we are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to be part of our team.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who has high expectations of pupil behaviour and attainment to work as part of our Lower KS2 team. You would be interested in supporting pupils to fill particular gaps in their knowledge and understanding through targeted intervention both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Within this position, you would also support pupils during the lunch period.

The duties and responsibilities of any post may change from time to time, and you may be expected to carry out other work not explicitly mentioned above which is considered to be appropriate to the existing level of responsibility vested in the post.

Our school is Covid secure and follows clear protocols to protect our school community.

Candidates are unable to visit the school prior to applying at the moment. For an informal conversation about the role, please contact the school office on (01728) 830745.

Benefits of working for Avocet Academy Trust include being part of a highly supported team, great training opportunities and enrolment to the Local Government Pension scheme.

Application forms can be downloaded from the link on the right in the advert and should be accompanied by a CV and letter of application and sent by email to: m.rodwell@avocetacademy.org

Interview date: 28 September 2020.

Avocet Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This post is subject to an enhanced DBS and all relevant pre-employment checks.
