Fixed term until 31 August 2020 (in the first instance).

Required ASAP.

At Ormiston Denes we place high value on staff development, both in teaching and leadership, and we are looking for a committed, talented individual to join our team of teaching assistants.

You will be joining a well-resourced, supportive academy full of strong practitioners who are keen to share best practice and continue moving forward. We also work collaboratively with other Ormiston academies, both locally and nationally. This ensures we are at the leading edge of the latest developments and are able to deliver the highest quality career professional development and provide progression opportunities within the trust.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to work with identified groups of students across the academy. We are looking for a team player who has enthusiasm and a caring and calm manner. You will support delivery of a bespoke / personalised educational offer for students with additional needs; this may be through 1:1 or small group support. You will contribute to the formulation, implementation and evaluation of any associated risk assessments.

A commitment to ensuring every young person achieves their potential is essential. This is the perfect place for a passionate teaching assistant to bring new, fresh ideas and help transform the opportunities for the local community.

Our aim is for every student to make good progress in their subjects. This is through receiving engaging teaching that focuses on engendering a love of learning.

If you are looking to work in a vibrant academy which expects high standards from students, places a high value on the professional development of its staff, and if you feel you have the qualities to meet the demands of this rewarding position, then we wish to hear from you.

We are looking for an individual who:

  • enjoys working with children
  • has high expectations and is a good team player
  • is self-motivating and able to encourage others
  • is keen and determined to help students overcome the barriers to learning they face on a daily basis.

In return, Ormiston Denes Academy will offer you:

  • an innovative learning community, constantly aiming for high standards
  • a supportive, welcoming community of professionals
  • development and collaboration opportunities, throughout the Ormiston network.
