20 hpw, 39 weeks per year. Monday – Friday, 10am – 2pm.

Required from September 2020.

SENDAT (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Trust), is a Multi Academy Trust focusing provision for a range of complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Priory School supports young people with Cognition Learning difficulties, with a range of diversity and takes a key role in the Trust’s provision of SEND across Suffolk and its border counties.

Our Learning Support team includes a small team of Play Leaders who plan and lead structured and inclusive activities for our students across all Key Stages at breaks and lunchtimes, so that they will return to their lessons feeling positive and ready to learn. The team also works closely with teaching staff and STA colleagues in classrooms to support students in their more formal learning activities.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an additional Play Leader to join the team. You will have a particular interest in leading a range of sporting activities to engage, enthuse and motivate our students, whatever their individual capability.

As part of SENDAT, you will be offered:

  • opportunities for flexible working
  • ongoing professional development
  • a range of employee benefits including pension, healthcare and cycle2work
  • a supportive and friendly working environment.

An application pack is available to download from the related information section, or you can request an application pack from Joy Kent, HR Manager, contact details below.

Completed applications should be returned to Joy Kent, either by email to: hr@sendat.academy or by post at SENDAT, Ask House, 2 Northgate Avenue, Bury St Edmunds IP32 6BB.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks required for relevant posts.

SENDAT – welcoming diversity.
