Post 1: 37 hpw, 52 weeks per year, based at Ipswich Campus
Post 2: 37 hpw, 38 weeks per year, based at Ipswich Campus.
Post 3: 37 hpw, 38 weeks per year, based at Suffolk Rural Campus.
We have three exciting opportunities to work within a pro-active, multi-functional team providing support, advice and guidance on a range of topics to both existing and prospective students at Suffolk New College.
You will manage a caseload of students and offer support, information and guidance in order to enable them to stay on programme and achieve or progress onto a positive outcome.
Naturally able to relate to young people, you should be enthusiastic and determined to offer the best advice and to succeed with each individual you work with. You will need to be motivational in your approach with young people and be able to offer them a range of strategies and support to assist them with any concerns and help them achieve.
You will need to be highly organised, student focused, an effective communicator and enjoy working as part of a busy team. You should also have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in English and Mathematics, and a relevant Level 3 qualification.
You will also be a Safeguarding Officer and part of the Safeguarding Team, therefore you should have Designated Safeguarding Lead training or a commitment to undertake this training within a specified period.
Please note that as Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site, you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
