Our work with families centre around strength and solutions, using Suffolk Signs of Safety and Wellbeing. We work closely with our partners and always keep the safety, wellbeing and development of the child at the centre of our work, clearly demonstrating their voice. You will be able to show your experience and willingness to develop your practice in this regard.

You will:

  • work directly with children, young people and families using the Suffolk Signs of Safety framework to effect positive outcomes
  • be solution focussed in your practice; helping families to identify their own strengths and their ability to move forward
  • be able to assess risk and take appropriate action
  • be a key contact for the family, liaising with professionals to provide a joined-up approach
  • support statutory processes, working alongside Social Workers and Health colleagues
  • manage a caseload, prioritise need and respond to emergencies
  • have direct experience of working with children / young people and families.

This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role you will need to operate across a wide and rural area, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.

For an informal discussion only please contact Pete Southerill, Practice Lead on (01284) 758610.

Please read the Job and Person Profile before applying for this job.
