As a qualified Social Worker, you will join our Social Work Services Cluster Teams in Ipswich.

Our customers range from 18 years old upwards and you will be working with older people and adults with physical and learning disabilities within the philosophy of personalisation, ensuring customers maintain and reach their independence potential.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join other dedicated Social Workers. You will work within a progressive team, receiving the best possible support and development to grow your career and provide a high quality service to the lives of the customers and families we work with.

Your role will involve close engagement with local communities and partner agencies and includes signposting, reablement and developing integrated ways of working with Health colleagues.

Newly qualified Social Workers start at £25,694, then upon successful completion of the:

  • first year in employment, you will move up to £27,394
  • second year, you will move up to £28,203 (after successful completion of development criteria).

Relevant Social Work qualification and HCPC registration are essential.

You will be required to travel frequently in rural areas, so you must hold a valid driving licence and have access to personal transport.
