Contract Type: Up to 12 month fixed term contract / secondment - maternity cover.

Location: Thorpe Lodge, 1 Yarmouth Road, Norwich, NR7 0DU with travel to South Norfolk House, Long Stratton, NR15 2XE.

Based at our office in Thorpe St. Andrew, with a remit to cover the areas of both Broadland and South Norfolk,

the role of Waste and Recycling Officer sits within the wider Contracts, Waste and Environmental Protection Team.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Help to promote and develop recycling and waste minimisation services
  • Receive, investigate and resolve complaints from the public
  • Help to assemble, maintain, review and report data
  • Monitor the on-site use of household waste and recycling bins
  • Support the development and delivery of projects to encourage recycling and waste reduction

 

You must have…

A full driving licence and business use insurance and be able to travel within both districts. Previous experience in a similar or related role with the ability to develop effective working relationships and communicate confidently with a variety of audiences.
