We are looking for an ambitious person to join our team in Communities as Assistant Manager for Leisure, Sport and Wellbeing, someone who shares our values, commitment and motivation to make a difference for our districts.
As Assistant Manager you will support the development and delivery of key strategic priorities often working on cross cutting initiatives to achieve key outcomes in relation to Wellbeing and Leisure, Sport & Active Participation. Experience of contract management and service level agreements will be a key strength.
You will need to work with external organisations including our sports and leisure operators to establish new and innovative ways of working to ensure greater participation across all our communities making best use of available community assets.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with a good understanding of the key issues that affect the Sport and Leisure Industry and appreciates the importance it plays in the wellbeing of our communities. You will take an evidence-based and asset-based approach to leading this work and empowering local communities. You will have proven experience of supporting the delivery of change and successful outcomes.
You will also provide management support to the wider Communities Team.
You will work in a flexible way to suit the needs of the businesses including home and office working as required. This role is normally based at our modern and conveniently located office accommodation, however, during the COVID 19 pandemic, we have been working from home and it has worked really well for us.*
