This is an exciting opportunity to share your professional knowledge and expertise in order to support our apprentices achieve in their chosen field.
Are you passionate about agriculture, specifically crops and livestock? We are looking for a suitably qualified professional to share their knowledge and expertise to help inspire our agricultural apprenticeship students to be become the agricultural specialists of the future.
Working alongside employers, you will be required to recruit, train, assess, and guide apprentices. We are keen to hear from you if you can demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the agricultural industry and have the ability to encourage and inspire young people.
You should also have relevant up-to-date industry experience, supported by a relevant Level 3 qualification along with a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in mathematics and English. You should also have a commitment to achieving an Assessor qualification within a specified timeframe.
A working knowledge of current issues relating to crop systems, forage and root crop production, agronomy, crop protection with relevant industry experience is desired.

Due to the nature of this role, access to personal transport is essential in order to travel to students' workplaces. If using your own vehicle, it is a requirement for your car insurance to cover business use and evidence of this will be requested by finance before any travel claims are paid.
This post is based at Suffolk New College Suffolk Rural. However, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
