St Louis Catholic Academy is located in Newmarket and has an excellent reputation locally for its academic achievement, caring ethos and high expectations. We were a founding member of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi Academy Trust in November 2016, which will grow to include 9 primary schools and 2 high schools by September 2020. You will have the opportunity to shape both the school and contribute to the ongoing future success of the trust.
Each school within our trust is distinctive, because our entire educational policy and approach is inspired by, and flows from, the vision of life, which is enshrined in our faith tradition and our service to the children in our care. Our Catholic faith perspective is not simply an added extra, but it is integral to the whole life of the school and permeates every aspect of the curriculum.
St Louis is a highly successful and over-subscribed school with a nursery, rated 'Good' by Ofsted (November 2019) and we are looking for a practicing Catholic leader to complete our journey to 'Outstanding'. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their career rapidly as you will be joining a strong multi academy trust highly committed to staff development and Catholic school leadership.
The trust is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, ethos driven and capable senior leader to take the helm of our happy and highly ambitious school. We welcome applications from candidates with a strong track record in school leadership at all levels and with the ambition to lead a school of their own with the support of an established executive team.
Applications are sought from practising Catholics who will further develop our Catholic ethos.
Preliminary visits to the school are welcome by arrangement with the Executive Headteacher, Clare Clark, who would be delighted to show you around.
An application pack can be downloaded from the related information section.
Alternatively, please visit the school website: www.stlouisacademy.co.uk or contact the school office for further details on (01638) 662719.
Application forms should be returned via email to: email@example.com or Clare Clark, Executive Headteacher, St Louis Catholic Academy, Fordham Road, Newmarket CB8 7AA.
Interview date: w/c 3 February 2020.
Applicants should be practicing Catholics supportive of our ethos. St Louis Catholic Academy welcomes applications from members of minority ethnic communities and those with disabilities. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be subject to enhanced DBS checks along with relevant employment checks.
