Required from January 2021.

What will you love about Wickhambrook?

We are looking for a kind, caring and inspirational Headteacher for this wonderful school which is highly ambitious for its pupils, ensuring they go to ‘Wickhambrook and beyond.’ The school is a key part of the village and local community, linking to local events and groups.

The school is a mixture of Victorian frontage with five classrooms and a new separate two class block next to the original school building, providing 7 classrooms in all. It is set in generous grounds and beautifully placed within the Suffolk countryside.

Its pupils love the breadth of the curriculum offer, are keen to take part in as many sporting events as possible and they are looking for a Headteacher who is ambitious for them, can motivate them to excel and has high expectations for their success.

You will either be a current, serving Headteacher or senior leader looking for an exciting new challenge. You will have a solid understanding of the requirements of the new Ofsted framework and will be excited by the opportunity to further develop the school’s curriculum.

This is a rare opportunity to join a collaborative, forward thinking academy trust of 30 schools (17 primary) where Headteachers form an integral part of our trust leadership team. This role is perfect for an aspiring leader who deserves the support, CPD and career development on offer and in return will stop at nothing to ensure our pupils achieve results plus!

All members of the Unity Schools Partnership staff subscribe to a set of shared values, principles and operational processes to ensure quality education for all our young people. Our central belief is that every young life is special – open to possibility, gifted with the potential to change the world for the better. Our ambition is to unlock the potential of all children, remove the barriers to aspiration and ensure that all our children succeed.

We would strongly recommend a visit to the school so you can meet the pupils and staff.

To arrange a visit or for an informal discussion about the role please contact Darren Woodward, Director of Primary Education by email at: dwoodward@unitysp.co.uk or by calling 07854 316614.

Interview date: 23 and 29 October 2020.

Unity Schools Partnership is committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2018 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
