Required from September 2020.

This is an exciting time for our school as we moved to a brand new, spacious building in Old Buckenham in January 2018. We are a Complex Needs School for pupils with moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties between the ages of 3 - 19. All pupils have different learning needs; they learn best when they are happy and excited about learning.

As our Headteacher retires at the end of the academic year, Chapel Green School is looking for an experienced candidate with a dynamic approach to further build on the successful move to our new school.

Applications are welcomed from Headteachers / Senior Leaders with experience in the field of special education with a background from mainstream and / or special schools.

We warmly invite you to come and visit our school; we have some pre-planned dates and times:

  • 14 November 2019 at 1.30pm
  • 18 November 2019 at 9.30am
  • 19 November 2019 at 1.30pm.

Please contact the school to make an appointment.

We are seeking to appoint a Headteacher with enthusiasm and passion, who will be fully committed to our new school in Old Buckenham and the challenges and opportunities this will bring.

Chair of Governors: Dr. Leslie Cooper

Further details and an application pack for this post can be obtained from the school's website: www.chapelgreenschool.org.uk and upon your visit to the school.

Alternatively, contact Jan Rush via email: jrush@chapelgreenschool.org.uk or call (01953) 453116.

An application pack can also be downloaded from the related information section.

Please be advised that all applications need to be completed electronically and returned by the closing date.

Closing date: midday, 25 November, 2019.

Interview dates: 5 and 6 December 2019. These will commence with a Warner Interview.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This includes obtaining references and ensuring compliance with the DBS process. We are an equal opportunities employer and are part of the Norfolk Well-Being scheme.
