The Special Educational Needs and Academies Trust (SENDAT) is a Multi Academy Trust whose provisions support a range of needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health and Behavioural (SEMH) needs. Our core aim is to provide for the continuum of special needs across the Eastern region.
All SENDAT schools and alternate provisions have Trauma Informed practices embedded across the curriculum and SENDAT staff colleagues are given training and support to develop and use these skills in their day-to-day working.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an outstanding and inspirational teacher and leader who is self-motivated and keen to be involved from the very start in setting up the Duke of Lancaster, a new Special Free School and part of the growth and development of SENDAT.
This exciting new addition to the trust opens in January 2022 and will provide for 100 students aged 5-16 who have an EHCP for Communication and Interaction needs.
As part of the Educational Leadership team, you will provide educational leadership and management of a designated key stage and, more widely, support the Head of School in the day-to-day running of the school.
As part of the SENDAT, we offer:
- employee benefits including pensions, healthcare cash plan and cycle2work scheme
- a wide range of professional development opportunities
- a supportive working environment.
